Seminar on Gender and Countryside Education – Stage I

- Teachers of the schools of the Elementary and Middle School - camps and settlements of Land reform
- Members of the Movement of Landless Rural Workers that work in the education, gender and health sector.
- Students of Pedagogy of the UFPR who act as fellows in the project
- Punctual participation of high school students in pilot schools
Number of participants: 60 teachers and MST members; 9 fellows from UFPR; 4 students from the Iraci Salete Strosak State School; 9 students from the Contestado Rural State School (for reports and theatre production).

Activities carried out: Presentation of the project "Gender and education in rural areas in Brazil", for the teachers of the rural schools of Paraná, with emphasis on the trajectory, main findings and importance for the rural education; lectures on gender perspectives in educational policies and in the social movement; theatre presentation on gender diversity and sexual division of labour and reports of the directors and students of the Contestado Rural State School and the Iraci Salete Strosak Rural State School; on the two axes of the research: gender diversity and the sexual division of labour with emphasis on the Landless Voices Database II: Gender and Education, aiming to analyze the didactic resources elaborated by the students of the pilot schools and the production of new materials by the participating teachers.
